First Moments at GKTW

The Ice Cream Palace is open from early in the morning until late at night.  We ate lunch at GKTW's Katie's Kitchen and followed it next door with a scoop or two of ice cream.  YUM!  Katie's Kitchen is provided by Boston Market.  The Ice Cream Palace is sponsored by Breyers.  It is complete with ice cream cones, cups, sprinkles and banana splits.

We walked around the village after lunch and found this stack of cookies along the Avenue of Angels.

I went to orientation after lunch and exploring GKTW.  I received park tickets and a lot of information about GKTW, Disney World, Sea World and other things to do in the area.  I learned that only a few people working at GKTW are paid employees.  An average of 1,500 people volunteer their time at GKTW each week.  Janelle and Andy went back to the villa and played with the toys she found waiting in the villa for her from the GKTW Gift Fairy.  One was a painting kit that she made with a rainbow and recorded a description about it.

It was raining, so they picked me up from orientation to return to the villa.  We unpacked and then noticed the rain stopped.  We decided to explore GKTW.  The cookie cart was found around the corner from our villa.  Janelle was given a cupcake.  Then we noticed something was going on at the Castle of Miracles.
