Festival of the Lion King

We ate breakfast at GKTW's Gingerbread House, then drove to Animal Kingdom.  We got a stroller for Janelle and then walked to the theater where the jungle roars around you.  We saw a show named Festival of the Lion King.

The theater was separated into four sections.  We sat in the Simba the lion section.  Janelle's Make A Wish button was noticed; she was escorted to the handicapped seating area and sat in the second row.  

The other three sections were Pumba the warthog (joined with Timon the meerkat), the giraffe and the elephant.

The theater had metal stadium seats.  Janelle liked sitting in criss-cross applesauce style.  She sat at the end of the row without anyone in front of her.  Perfect seats.

Janelle did not like the way the fog smelled during the show.  She held her nose.  

Janelle was chosen to join in the fun during the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight."

The cast member talked to Janelle about what to do.

Janelle stood in front of our section.

She was given a shaker to join in the with the entertainment.

They joined in with Simba by RRROOOAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRING like a lion.

Janelle's favorite part of the show was when Simba roared.

Janelle held the cast member's hand as they walked around the stage with the other chosen children.

Being a part of the show was a special experience for Janelle.

She returned the shaker to the cast member.
